![]() Interestingly enough, there were still remnants of the recently demolished Rolling Thunder racing coaster scattered around El Toro. We were also lucky enough to have what was basically a walk-on for a wait! From the second you begin the initial descent, the coaster never lets up.ĭefinitely one of the most intense, exciting coasters I’ve ever ridden. Speaking of the best coaster in the park…Įl Toro is incredible! I always seem to forget just how exciting this wooden coaster is until I re-ride it. This surprisingly didn’t seem to affect either ride’s capacity. It’s also worth noting that Kingda Ka and Zumanjaro never run at the same time, they take turns dispatching. Zumanjaro: Drop of Doom took me by surprise, as it felt quite a bit faster than Lex Luthor, and sitting on the right-most tower allowed us to get very close to Kingda Ka’s track on the way up. Definitely worth experiencing, though definitely not the best coaster in the park. Kingda Ka is an incredible experience, although a very quick one. Once we finished staring at The Joker, we decided to head over and check out Kingda Ka and Zumanjaro: Drop of Doom, the park’s Lex Luthor-esque drop tower. On the upside, we did catch a glimpse of test runs throughout the day, as well as near constant work being done, as seen below. The staff within the area were very clear that there was no chance of the coaster reopening that day. …And to our immediate disappointment, it was closed for the day. Last week, we were able to check out Six Flags Great Adventure, located in Jackson, New Jersey! Some of you may be quite familiar with the park, as it has quite the outstanding lineup of coasters, including the world’s tallest and former fastest roller coaster, Kingda Ka!Īs we entered the park just after opening, we were greeted by the park’s newest coaster, The Joker! We are totally fine with our audience using our images, BUT ONLY IF credit is given to. ![]() – Recently our images have popped up on other sites and forums, awesome that our coverage spreads, not so awesome that no one mentioned where they got the images from. Below you’ll find his extensive Trip Report of his visit to the large East Coast Six Flags park! Overall, a good attraction to get out of the heat and is a tamer attraction for those who enjoy these haunted swing type rides. Our California Coaster Kings Correspondent Joseph visited Six Flags Great Adventure while other correspondents were visiting Texan parks. The ride itself was excellent as the illusion of going upside down was incredible thanks to seats actually moving back and forth up and down the walls and also being well synchronized with the rotations of the room. During the ride an announcer tries to mention details, but all of the sounds were hard to hear due to the chatter of other riders. Restrained by a lap bar, the ride begins quickly. Along the walls are windows, statues, and various other items. The room is very well themed riding on benches. Then the lights flicker and you see a cage rattle and a water tank. Then they mention that Houdini will be pulling off a new trick and that we are the audience. Due to the music being played in this room and the chatter of other riders, it was very hard to hear what was being said, but it showed Houdini performing a trick to various people. You watch a brief little preshow on a flat-screen TV (seems very out of place and I think that a TV themed to a mirror would be much better). ![]() There was good lighting, books, mantles, chandeliers, figures, mirrors, and so much more. There was a preshow on this one in an exceptionally well-themed room. I almost missed this ride because I thought that this rides building was an actual show it looked that good! Just as I was making my way through the queue line, the ride began boarding. Across from the Rodeo, Houdini is located in Crack Axle Canyon in a very nice building themed to be an opera house. Houdini- the Great Escape is by far the best version of this kind of ride that I have ever been on. ![]()
